August 2003 -- Refit Madness!
We were on the boat from July 30th to August 30th, and in that time we only managed to take the boat out one time, on the 29th of August.
August 29th -- The Trip!
It was a glorious day, and we managed to make the whole trip without injuring ourselves or any other boats.
Getting away from the dock was plenty of fun, since we are 61 feet long with a single screw and no boaw thruster. We had to spin around 180 degrees in a channel only 80 feet wide. However, Scott's Mom Cathy came up with a cunning plan to use the tender as a tug on the bow, which worked perfectly when combined witha stern springline.
